SproutAI ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. By using sproutai.co.in or our services, you consent to the practices described below.

1. What we collect

When you create an account or place an order, we collect:

• Name, email, phone number
• Career and professional information you provide for the writing service (work history, education, skills)
• Payment information processed securely by Razorpay — we never see or store your full card or bank credentials
• Technical information automatically collected: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps
• Cookies essential to logging in and maintaining your session

2. How we use it

• To deliver the resume, LinkedIn, cover-letter, or coaching service you purchased
• To send you order confirmations, delivery notices, and customer-service replies
• To process payments and prevent fraud, in partnership with Razorpay
• To improve the service and our website (aggregated, non-identifying analysis)
• To comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting

We do not sell your personal data, ever. We do not use your career information to train AI models.

3. Sharing

We share data only with:

• Razorpay — for payment processing
• Email and hosting providers — to deliver our service infrastructure
• Our writing team — your career information is shared only with the SproutAI writer assigned to your project; all writers are under signed NDAs
• Law enforcement — if compelled by valid legal process

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies to keep you logged in and protect against CSRF attacks. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time, but doing so will log you out.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and order records for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years thereafter, in line with Indian tax and accounting requirements. You can request deletion at any time, subject to overriding legal obligations.

6. Your rights

You can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails (if you opted in)
• Lodge a complaint with the appropriate data-protection authority

7. Security

We protect your data using TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords (bcrypt), prepared SQL statements, CSRF tokens on every form, and rate-limited authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry best practices.

8. Children

Our services are not intended for users under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor without parental consent, we will delete it.

9. International users

Your data is stored on servers located in India. If you access our services from outside India, you consent to the transfer of your data to India for processing.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our service evolves or as the law requires. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers.
